The trailer is a crucial element in the global transport chain. ZF’s Intelligent Brake Platform (iEBS) uses cutting-edge technology to make the trailer intelligent and improve braking performance. A modular concept enables a variety of additional safety and efficiency functions that can be tailored to specific requirements, leveraging more than 35 years of experience in trailer brake control. ZF’s Intelligent Brake Platform is the industry’s first global trailer brake platform, combining iABS (intelligent anti-lock braking system) and iEBS (intelligent electronic braking system) in three different versions and price ranges – from basic to standard to premium. These versions will be suitable for all types of trailers and for specific regional requirements worldwide. Trailer manufacturers and fleet operators will benefit from scalable variants on a standardized technology basis – with common components, faster installation, easier software integration, uniform cabling and standardized interfaces. All of this enables numerous current and future intelligent functions for Trailers, further increasing the safety, connectivity and efficiency of transportation.
